La Verna, a place of peace and deep beauty, once again offers to welcome Swami Veda Bharati. The occasion is precious: receive, before the period of silence in which Swamiji will enter for five years, his last oral teachings during this European event. Topic of the seminar "The Silence". An appointment with our inner voice, tuned to that Serenade God with a Song of Silence * that Swamiji invites us to listen to, to open ourselves to the revelation of our true essence.
Swami Veda Bharati, Master e Spiritual Guide of the Himalayan Tradition of Meditation and Yoga, will guide us in this journey of knowledge assisted by Swami Ritavan Bharati, Swami Nityamuktananda Saraswati and Dr. Stephen (Stoma) Parker. The hatha yoga practice will be guided by the teachers of the Himalayan Yoga Institute-Italy.
Swami Veda Bharati
Swami Veda Bharati was born into a Sanskrit speaking family and raised in the centuries old Sanskrit tradition. From the age of nine he has captivated audiences with the depth of his knowledge and intuition in the Vedas and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. All of his knowledge has come intuitively through which he has attained the highest academic degrees; BA (Honours) (London), MA (London), D. Lit. (Holland), and is the author of many books. Swami Veda is the founder and Spiritual Guide of both the world-wide organization, Association of Himalayan Yoga Meditation Societies International (AHYMSIN) and the Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama in Rishikesh, India. He is also the Spiritual Guide of Sadhana Mandir Ashram, his master’s ashram in Rishikesh and of the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust and Chancellor of the HIHT University in Dehradun, India. He was initiated into one of the highest paths of meditation and yoga by his master, the celebrated yogi Swami Rama of the Himalayas. His immense experience and scholarship enable him to lecture on a wide variety of topics. He is able to conduct meditation in seventeen languages. His ability to guide his audiences to calm states and meditative stillness is well known to his students in the various centres he has established all over the world. Swami Veda Bharati combines the best of the ancient and the modern. He is an inspired and loving teacher, a prolific author, poet and an international lecturer. With his unique personality he radiates peace, divine love and joy wherever he is. He was honoured by the Swamis of India who conferred on him the title of Mahamandaleswara.
Swami Ritavan Bharati
Swami Ritavan Bharati has worked with both Swami Rama and Swami Veda for the past 30 years. He is a highly trained yoga and meditation teacher. Swami Ritavan holds a master's degree in management specializing in non-profit organizations, a master's degree in education and one in holistic philosophy. He joined the Dhyana Mandiram (Meditation Center) Ashram in 1970. Swami Ritavan has helped teach many yoga and meditation teachers in the past 25 years. He has led silence retreats throughout the world on behalf of Swami Veda and travels extensively throughout the world. He is a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance.
Swami Nityamuktananda
(Dr. C. Herrmann, PH.D; MA; M Ed; Dip.Theol; Dip.Ed; D.A.D; Dip.Rfl. Dip.HSEC.) German by birth, naturalized British is based in UK.She studied Theology, Education, Psychology, Philosophy and Art and Design etc. Extensive travel study and work at universities awakened her interest in Eastern Philosophy (Taoism and Zen) which lead to her becoming a ceramic artist, exhibiting worldwide. Over the last 20 years she has worked with several great spiritual Masters, which eventually brought her to the feet of M.M. Swami Veda Bharati. Although she has been a Swami for several years, she confirmed her vows of Sannyasa in 2007 with Swami Veda Bharati.. Her doctorate is in Eco-philosophy on the Mahabhutas (Five Great Elements) and in 1997 she was awarded a “World-Peace Prize” (LGWPF/ NGO of UN). She is the author of several books.
Dr. Stephen (Stoma) Parker
Stephen Parker lives currently in the USA, Minneapolis and he has been a disciple of Swami Veda Bharati for more than 34 years. He teaches at the Meditation Centre in Minneapolis and is a member of International Himalayan Yoga Teachers’ Association. He is also a faculty teacher at the Swami Rama Sadhaka Gram at Rishikesh, India. He teaches there twice a year courses on Sanskrit, Vedanta philosophy and meditation. He has a BA summa cum laude in Sanskrit and wrote his end-thesis on a version of the Yoga Vasistha. He assisted Swami Veda with the end-redaction of Yoga Sutra’s Volume II: Sadhana-pada. He is a practising clinical psychologist, Psy. D., and teacher of psychology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and senior teacher of the Teacher Training Program (HYT-TTP).
