Himalayan Yoga Meditation Tradition Teachers Training Program
Level 1 Training in Taiwan
May 14th ~25th , 2012
Yoga is more than just asana. It is a life style that reflects “AHIMSA” (do no harm), which applies not only to body postures but to spiritual growth. Through disciplined asana, breathing (pranayama) and meditation practices, one purifies mind body and soul and utilizes the purified self to influence the surrounding people and environment.
Himalayan Yoga Meditation Tradition Teachers Training Program (HYT TTP) is designed to bring about the transformation of an intended individual through series of curriculum taught by those who were trained under the same discipline for years.
In May 2012, AHYMSIN Taiwan invites three senior teachers to conduct the very first TTP in Taiwan. The two-week course is conducted under the following objectives:
It gives the overall origin and history with FOUNDATIONAL STUDIES, supported by SADHANA and then goes into three aspects of practice: ASANA, BREATHING & PRANAYAMA, and RELAXATION & MEDITATION. Then the curriculum covers two supportive areas, ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY and HOLISTIC HEALTH & BIOFEEDBACK, then two areas which deal with abstract areas of self-analysis and self-study, YOGA PSYCHOLOGY and YOGA PHILOSOPHY. Finally the curriculum brings it all back to TEACHING METHODOLOGY and PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF TEACHING.
In summary, the main topics to be covered by the program are listed below:
